CAUTION! Many people do not use real dry ice because it is expensive and difficult and dangerous to obtain\/store\/use. Since freezing can cause burns, as a cheaper solution, a simple smoke machine is cooled with ice (cold smoke, heavy smoke machine, etc.). They try to achieve a similar spectacle, but the desired effect is far from it. The smoke of similar clone machines stays on the ground for only a short time, minimal air movement disperses it and quickly takes on the temperature of the environment, causing the smoke to rise anyway (due to its physical properties). Photographers\/videographers usually do not like this either, as they cannot work (blurry images are created due to the rising smoke, the smoke reflects the flash light) and the smoke can also disturb the smoke detectors of the venue providing the event. It is important to know that the frozen form of carbon dioxide, dry ice, which is not toxic under normal circumstances, but some safety rules must be observed for its use to be safe.
